The Greater Terre Haute NAACP chapter is looking back on 2018 and ahead to next year.

Highlights of this year’s efforts by the organization included working with police on issues affecting young people such as bullying, cyberbulling and sexting. The year also saw the NAACP partner with the League of Women Voters in an effort to boost turnout in mid-term elections.

For 2019, “We’ve got to get more people involved,” said chapter President Sylvester Edwards. “We have to have more members be a part of our executive committees. It takes three people to be on our committees so, guess what, I’m on every committee.”
