Celebrating our 100th year, the Greater Terre Haute branch of the NAACP aims to educate, mobilize, and grow our membership. Comprising a powerful grassroots civil rights movement we work by energizing our community and the nation through activism, & civic engagement in the Greater Terre Haute Area.

Founded in 1909, the NAACP national organization is the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization. From the ballot box to the classroom, the thousands of dedicated workers, organizers, leaders and members who make up the NAACP continue to fight for social justice for all Americans.
