Former Attorney General Eric Holder has a new role to change the composition of voting districts and fight gerrymandering. As a featured speaker at the 2017 NAACP National Convention, he shared elements of a Five-Year Plan of Action.
The Greater Terre Haute NAACP Branch will feature the Holder presentation which focuses on the 1965 Voting Rights Act, Voter ID laws, Voter Fraud, and current voter suppression practices. A group discussion, led by the Political Action Committee, will follow.
Please plan to attend the next NAACP meeting on Monday, October 16, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. at the Vigo County Public Library.
We look forward to your participation.
