The Greater Terre Haute NAACP Branch will host a press conference for the program speakers at the Vigo County Public Library on Monday, January 15, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. Indiana State Senator Lonnie Randolph and former State Representative Bionca Gambill will be available for comments prior to their scheduled presentations.
John E. Lang, Political Action Committee chair, is coordinator for the event, which highlights a call to citizens to be actively involved in a voting rights agenda, as influenced by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Presentation topics will be the structure of state and local government, how citizens may become engaged in the process, the significance of voter registration, and perspectives about current legislation. Discussion will follow.
The NAACP meeting featuring both speakers will begin (on Monday, January 15, 2018,) at 6:30 p.m. at the Vigo County Public Library. It is open to the public.
