“The Foster Grandparents Program in Vigo County” will be the featured discussion topic at the branch meeting of the Greater Terre Haute NAACP on Monday, April 15. Senior Director Donna Fullhart will be the speaker at the Vigo County Public Library at 6:30 p.m.
“Area children and their families benefit greatly from the services of the Foster Grandparents”, commented Sandra Wickware, chair of the NAACP Criminal Justice Committee. A Foster Grandparent herself, Wickware knows firsthand the invaluable experiences offered by the Program.
The presentation will provide attendees an opportunity to learn more about who the foster grandparents are, what they do, where they serve, and how the community benefits from this program. Children in Vigo County elementary schools and certain childcare facilities are currently served by Foster Grandparents.
