“Just about everyone today could benefit from an opportunity for free prescriptions” stated Drucella Thomas, local NAACP Health Committee chair. “That’s why the NAACP is excited to present a local pharmacist with information about an amazing program”, continues Thomas.
The Greater Terre Haute NAACP Branch has an on-going concern about health care. This Free Prescription Program is available now.
Sylvester Edwards, N AACP Branch President, comments that “anyone using prescription medications must be aware of skyrocketing costs. People are still trying to pay the bills while waiting for the legislators in Washington to finalize health care legislation.”
During its meeting on Monday, June 19, 2017, the NAACP will feature a guest speaker to present information about the Free Prescription Program at the Vigo County Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Free and open to the public, attendees will learn about how to access free prescriptions.
Focus will be on what the program offers, who is eligible, and how to access it. The primary goal is to increase the number of people able to benefit from this program and how to access it. This is being offered as a community service.
